I want to play violin!

Hi,

I was listening to out school orchestra and I was thinking about to play an orchestral instrument to learn more about how they are used. And I need a second instrument to study music (piano is my first), so I'm thinking of learning to play violin and getting lessons.
I'm using very often violin sections in my compositions and I could record my violin and mix it into my section so it would sound more realistic.

Would you recommend me playing violin?
I wanted to know how it is to play violin.

I tried to play violin at the music store... It's a bit difficult but I can do it. :D
Just need to save money for a cheap violin and talk to my parents to get lessons. ;)

Es kann sicher nicht schaden, aber Violine ist scheiss schwierig und da kann es schon mal länger dauern bis man einen sauberen Ton hat,aber dann halt viel üben :D

Ich habe einen Vorteil durch das Gitarrenspiel und kann schon mit wenig Mühe G-Dur auf der Violine hoch und runter spielen. ;)
Die dünnste Saite zu streichen ist verdammt schwer und braucht eine Menge Feingefühl.
